Buzbieza (Fennel Seed) Liquor 70cls

Made from a recipe that has been brought down from Generation to Generation, this Liqueur is made from locally harvested fennel seeds.

Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare, Maltese name buzbiez) is a very Hardy flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region, Locally, it is not cultivated but is found growing in the wild. Its seeds are collected once a year during the hot summer months and their taste has a predominant anise character.

These seeds form the basic ingredient of this Zeppi Liqueur, which can be enjoyed neat, or mixed as a long drink with Cola, water, tonic or lemonade. A dash of Zeppi’s  Buzbieza Liqueur blends well black coffee forming a unique Maltese Traditional Drink.
