Mayor Maltese with garlic 410g

This thick tomato sauce is prepared in season from wholesome sun-ripened Maltese tomatoes.  Slivers of garlic spiced with a crunch of ground black pepper are first shallow fried. The pulp and juice of eight Maltese choice tomatoes are then added and left to slow cook in small batches until they turn into a rich juicy sauce, ready to use variety of dishes, Mayor Zalza Maltese has become a traditional favourite for most local pasta dishes, pies, casseroles and Ravioli.

Ingredients

Tomato juice, Sugar, Modified Maize Starch, Sea Salt, Sunflower Oil, Flavourings (contains MILK), Garlic Slices (0.4%), Citric Acid, Black Pepper, Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid.

Direction

Store in a cool dry place.
Once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 days.

Taste the difference

This sauce makes an excellent based sauce for all tomato with garlic based recipes.
Empty contents into a saucepan and heat gently, stir occasionally.

Bursting with flavour, this sauce can be used on its own, or with your own special extras added. Try adding Mayor’s processed peas to it over a plate of Ravjoli.
